Now, they have announced that they’re working together!
As far as I can tell, Nextcloud will be incorporated into Purism’s PureOS, and they may even collaborate on a dedicated NAS.
By itself, Nextcloud is impressive software. As it is now, it’s great. If their E2E encryption solution turns out to be as secure and convenient as it seems, that is an amazing accomplishment, in and of itself. Partnering with a company like Purism is more than I could have hoped for.
In a world where so many things are going wrong, it is wonderful to see something like this going right.
By the way, Purism is also doing interesting work with Intel’s Management Engine. Good stuff.
